Who are you and what do you do?
I am a 37 year old art director working as a restaurateur. I have recently opened Magnolia, a restaurant, gallery and flower shop, in Stockholm, Sweden. I have never worked in a restaurant or café. I have never been a gallerist and I know very little about flowers. However I sincerely love the flavors of extraordinary food, art and flowers.

How does that challenge the current market?
Swedish restaurants focus on food and the chef is king.  I believe that a restaurant can be valued for far more than that. I come into this world from a different and challenging perspective. I want to enable people to become a part of a society, which includes extraordinary food from great chefs, fantastic personal service, inspiring and thoughtful art, and of course a beautiful environment with decorative flowers. I want to give people more reasons to visit and to participate, to be inspired and to inspire, to discuss and share ideas and perspectives. This will make us all move forward.

What is your best advice for thinking outside of the box?
The first thing you have to realize is that you are a great and unique human being, with a fantastic ability to achieve extraordinary things in life. Do not limit yourself and allow yourself to make mistakes. You need to understand and believe in it, in order to leave your comfort zone. Be aware that change can be uncomfortable. You will surely receive the energy you need to accomplish what you dream of. Remember life is short.
